So, last night hubby and I skipped dinner. Okay, so we drank dinner actually instead of chewing it. We had 18-20 oz. of juice for dinner (followed by a glass of water with activated charcoal)! I was worried I would starve and I did get a little hungry because I'm used to chewing and I wasn't. So, I decided to go to bed so I wouldn't be tempted. Success!!!
This morning, I was still tired, but when I got up, my eyes weren't burning and I didn't hate the day because I had to get up...like I usually do. I also remembered to drink my lemon water and it didn't cause me to have some crazy evacuation like I suspected. So far, so good.
The greatest benefit so far is the feeling that I don't want to mess up what I'm doing by eating something I shouldn't. I'm suddenly very mindful of what I eat. That was NOT the case I assure you. My weight also dropped overnight by 0.6lbs!!! I'll take it!
Keep you posted!

Why?
Finally!!! It occurred to me that I was ready. For what you might ask. To do something about the main thing that keeps me from doing what I was born to do. Though sometimes, I feel this thing is part of it. More, overcoming this thing is part of it. Okay, let me stop. The "it" that I'm referring to is, well, being overweight.
I was always the one that smiled and made nice. That's really me, but there was always a fear beneath that smile that someone would point it out to me again. Somehow, all my life, people have always felt the need to let me know I was "fat." All the while, I'm thinking,"Really? I had no idea! Thank you soooo much for pointing that out to me because if you hadn't told me would NEVER have known." Still, it hurt to be different. Being different for whatever reason brings a world of hurt. Sure there were the "you have such a pretty face" comments that were often sincere, but still made me uncomfortable because surely everyone else is thinking, "She's not pretty. She's FAT!" Growing up, I was led to believe those two things were diametrically opposed. So there I was always wanting to be involved, but holding back because there was always that trump card that could easily be played...to win...against me.
So, I grew up and found favor with many, but always carry my two faithful partners embarrassment and self-doubt. Trying has never been a problem for me. It was always keeping that momentum going. I guess that's with anything we humans try. It takes Herculean effort to make any change and this one in particular. There's no getting away from it. You HAVE to eat or you'll die. You can't just move out of the bad neighborhood, hangout with a better crowd, put the cigarettes down, stop going to the casino, etc. You HAVE to face your demon over and over again EVERY day!!! Not an excuse, just the truth!
That's the background. Here's the today. I believe that I'm strong enough with God to finally WIN! Today, I begin 5-7 days of juicing for dinner. Right now, I'm not trying to change anything else. Just juice for dinner. My husband (huge shout out to him) has agreed to do the dinner juice days and 1st week of juice-only with me. Joe Cross* has really inspired me and I'm doing his Mean Green Juice to start. I have all kinds of recipes for different types of cleansing in the body and will surely make use of them all since I hate to eat the same thing twice in a row. So, I started off saying I was going to do this first and four paragraphs later, I think I have the courage to say...I just weighed myself and the scale (no, it's not partial) said 353.6lbs. NO.MORE. Thank you for taking this first step of my 60 days to life journey. Talk with you soon. Let me know if you can relate and what you're doing about it. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
